Dear Hector

Hector+Santiago+Seattle+Mariners+v+Chicago+asc5AePTBYcl Dear Hector,

My Sorority Sisters have given me the news that I never saw coming, well none of us did. That you are now a California Angel.

We send you off with heavy hearts, but with the love and support. We will continue to follow you and watch you develop into the wonderful pitcher that we know you are destined to be.

It was great to watch you develop and to find your way on the mound. We all know that there are great things for you in the future and we cant wait to watch what happens next.

The girls and I will be still following you on Twitter and I will blog the games you pitch as often as I can.

Take care our dear mate.

See you on the field

Post 100 — A milestone

Cricket and Opera House

When this journey started it was a challenge to myself, to follow my beloved White Sox and to work on my writing. To become a better writer but also to write about what I love.

Well, here I am, learning so much about the White Sox but also making many new mates.

There is a group of lovely ladies on Facebook called “She Loves The White Sox” . This is an amazing group who are supportive, funny and with just one basic goal. To see the White Sox to the World Series. I have just been accepted into the group and I am so proud to be a member.

We had a ball sharing yesterday, during the game talking about plays that had just happened, our favorite players and just great conservation.

So…this milestone post is dedicated to THEM, the Ladies of the group.

THANK YOU for accepting me in to the group, for the great conservation, the love support and silliness. Sure it is going to be a long season and I cant wait to share it with you all

I have a bit of a challenge now. That is tracking games for the White Sox. It does not help that I live outside the USA so my options are limited until the season gets into full swing. Facebook and Twitter are my best mates at the moment for getting my daily fix of baseball and my boys at the office at the Camelback Ranch. I am really excited for the season, the boys are looking really good from all the reports that I am seeing. The current results are as follows:

Saturday the 23 of February was against the Dodgers and that was a 9 – 0 win. Dylan Axelrod threw three scoreless innings. Alex Rios and Gordon Beckman both went 2 – 2 with the bat.

Sunday the 24th of February was once again with the Dodgers and ended in a two all tie.

Monday the 25th of February was a 9 – 9 all with the San Francisco Giants.  It took til the seventh inning for the boys to fire up the bats and rally back for a tie. Jared Mitchell two run triple at the beginning of the sixth inning got the boys fired up

Tuesday starts a two game series with the Texas Rangers and close out February with a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. March is full of Cactus League games before heading home to Chicago and opening day at U.S Cellular Field on April one against the Kansas city Royals.

The Office is Open

The pitchers and catchers have arrived and are getting back in sync with each other after the off-season and some down time. My twitter feed this week has been quiet for the most part but the pictures that I have seen so far are just amazing. The fans are turning out and full force and that is wonderful. I can see the excitement growing. I would love to be able to go to the ranch for a game. Even just see it on the computer but I don’t think I am going to have much luck there.

Saw a picture of Jake Peavy the other day with the pitching coach and he was looking really good. I can’t wait to get to watch him in action and see how he is doing.

The rest of the squad arrives at the office tonight USA time. Writing from Australia, I am a little ahead of everyone but I can’t wait for word from the ranch that everyone is there. Spring games will start soon and I am hoping that I can find them on the net to watch. Next best thing is my twitter feed.

Don’t forget you can find the boys at the Camelback ranch on Facebook and Twitter, along with seeing the pictures on Instagram. Loving the pics guys keep them coming.

Please bear with me as my information is limited right now but once the season gets going we will have heaps to chat about and photos to share.

Welcome to the Office the rest of the Chicago White Sox
