Sox Open a 9 Game Home Stand
It is the start of a 9 day run at home. With the addition of James Shields things should get interesting in the pitching rotation. Here is hoping that he is the stability that is finally needed. Jerry Sands has been DFA to make room for James Shields and Melky returns today.

Bottom of the 9th – Jackson with a single, Jackson moved to second on a wild pitch and Frazier at first thanks to a walk.
Final Score – Nationals 10 and White Sox 5
**Post game thoughts — the pitch couldn’t get it done tonight. Mat Latos walked the first batter in 5 pitches. You know when that happens it will not be great. You need your starters to go 5 plus innings. It saves the bullpen. Matt Purke was amazing coming in and doing his best to shut the Nationals down.
Tyler Saladino with single mistakes that cost, giving the Nat’s runs that should not of happened.
James Shields in the office for his first start tomorrow
