Enough with the Negative Crap

OK, as you can see by the title, I have had more then enough of the negative bitching and I reading the facts that are incorrect and the fact that people are complaining without checking things first.

Robin –  His contract is through the end of 2016. Remember one thing kids, ROBIN is NOT on the field, you want to fire anyone, fire the team. Yes it is Robin who inspires and looks after things but this is how Robin gets things done. All he can do is to guide the boys, it is up to them to get the job finished in the end.

There are 2 players who are still being paid out on the payroll. Dayan viciedo and Jeff Keppinger.

John Danks contract is from 2012 to 2016 for $65M . He has a NO trade clause, in 2014 he could have blocked trades to , Baltimore, Oakland, Washington and Toronto.

We have David Robertson until 2018 for a cool $45M, Alexei Ramirez we have til the end of the season with an option for 2016

We only have Jeff Samardzjia for this season at $9.8M We avoided arbitration but, the talk went away of him wanting to go free agent next year for now but I would love to be able to keep him.

Jose Abreu is a White Sox until 2019. There are other award bonuses included, selection to the All Star Game.

Chris Sale in the office until 2017 with options for 2018 and 2019. He also has bonuses in place with the Cy Young award and All Star Game.

Adam Eaton as we all know just signed a new contract. He is a Sox until 2019 with options for 2020 and 2021. He also has bonuses listed for MVP voting and all.

A lot of the guys listed are only here through 2015. Tyler Flowers and Gordon Beckham to just a couple.

More info on the contracts at

You guys seem to think that the constant change-up and all will get us wins but there are also other factors like stability. You all want the perfect 2005 World Series team and nothing less will do. Each year the boys have to learn how to play together, to jell and to trust each other on the field, to get that perfect Rack’em up, or safely steal 2nd base.

Have any of you bothered to look at the stats from ONE YEAR AGO today.

May 17, 2014  the White Sox were 21 wins with 23 loses. .477% and EIGHT games out.

May 17, 2015 The White Sox are 17 wins and 17 loses .500% and only 5 games out. (Waiting for the outcome of the Tigers game)

The boys are actually in better shape than this time last year.

Next time you want to have a complaint, have the balls to back it up.

Weekend with the Reds

Cincinnati+Reds+v+Chicago+White+Sox+BHb7jhRa3OvlThe Cincinnati Reds rolled in to The Cell for a 3 game series to close out this home stand. Friday’s game was postponed due to rain, turning Saturday into a double-header

*Game One – Hector Noesi in the office. Reds 10 and Sox 4

Hector took a line drive off his hip in the second inning and departed, with Scott Carroll taking over, also in the office was Zach Putnam, Dan Jennings and Jake Petricka

It was a quiet game til the top of the 6th when the Reds opened the scoring with a 2 – 0 lead. The added another run in the top of the 7th for a 3 – 0 lead.

The bottom of the inning saw the Sox offense finally get going when Alexei Ramirez smacked his 100th home run to left center. Sox 1 and Red 3.

The top of the 9th saw the reds pile on 7 more runs for a 10 to 1 lead, the bottom of the inning saw Jose Abreu’s solo shot to left add a second run to the Sox total, Adam LaRoche walked and moved to 3rd on a double by Avisail Garcia, Conor Gillaspie with a Sac Fly to right, gets LaRoche home for a 10 to 3 Reds lead, with Garcia at 3rd Ramirez, grounding to the shortstop brings Avi home for the last run the Sox were able to score.

*Game 2 – Carlos Rodon in the office, Sox 8 and Reds 2

Rodon has made me eat my words, to be honest after his first 2 appearances I honestly thought that him starting would be a disaster but in 6 innings with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks he held his nerve and did very well from what my Sisters have shared with me. Jake Petricka, Zach Duke and David Robertson who now has an ERA of 0.00 after this game.

The Sox opened the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd with Avi Garcia already on base, Alexei Ramirez smacks home run #101 for a 2 – 0 Sox lead.

Top of the 3rd the Reds would tie the score at 2 all. ( It would be the Sox from here on out doing all the scoring.)

Bottom of the 4th the Sox would take back the lead when, Ramirez doubles to left and Gordon Beckham with a single to left would bring Ramirez home for a 3 to 2 lead.

Bottom of 6th would see the Sox add two more runs with Solo shots from Avi Garcia and Beckham. Sox 5 and Reds 2.

Bottom of the 7th would see the Sox add the final runs of the day when, Eaton walked and went to second on a balk by the Reds Pitcher, Melky Cabrera’s single to center would see the speedy Eaton cross the plate, Melky moves to second on an Abreu line drive to right, LaRoche with another single gets Melky home and holds Abreu at 3rd. LaRoche scores the 8th and final run of the day on a Gordon Beckham Sac Fly

*Game Three – John Danks in the office. Reds 3 and Sox 4

John Danks would finally have a confidence building outing that he was much needing. in 7 innings he struck out 4 and walked 3. Danks had help in the office from, Zach Duke and David Robertson.

Bottom of the 2nd would see the Sox open the scoring when, Tyler Flowers doubles and J.B Shuck walked when, Emilio Bonifacio would tap a soft line drive to right bringing Flowers home and Shuck to 3rd for a 1 – 0 Sox lead. Cincy would tie the score in the top of the 4th inning

Bottom of the 7th and 8th would see the Sox add 2 more runs for a 3 to 1 Sox lead. Cincy would tie things up at the top of the 9th, forcing the Sox to bat in the bottom of the inning to win the game or send it to extra inning.

Bottom of the 9th – Abreu and LaRoche would both get out, leaving the classic 2 out run rally to get started, and it did when, Garcia and Ramirez both singled, with Avi held up at 2nd base. with Beckham at the plate, a wild pitch would move the winning run of Garcia to 3rd and Ramirez to 2nd. Beckham smacked a line drive to right bring Garcia home for the winning run and taking the series 2 takes to 1.

It is a quick trip for a 3 game series with the Brewers in Wisconsin before a day off and packing the bags for a trip out west to see the Oakland A’s
