With things still all over the place in Baltimore, tonight’s game has been postponed. Yesterday and todays games will be made up in a double-header played in Baltimore on May 28. For those with tickets from those games please refer to the Baltimore Oriels web site for the process to deal with replacing those tickets.
Tomorrow’s game will be played as a day game to a closed stadium. Yes, that is correct and it does look strange but that is the decisions of the mlb and both clubs looking out for the safety of the public and the staff of both clubs.
I do not know what decisions have been made for Baltimore for their schedule past tomorrow, for you Oriels fans check the website for further information.

*THIS GAME HAS BEEN POSTPONED WITH CONSULTATION FROM THE BALTIMORE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
It has been an interesting series with the Royals during this home stand. First the bench clearing dust-up, which saw Chris Sale, Jeff Samardzjia receive 5 game suspensions but they will appeal those. I did read that Chris did not even know that he has been suspended until an inning later. It was reported that Chris did go to the KC locker room and that he talked to Alex Rios. Questioning that one when Alex is on the DL with a broken finger.
Saturdays game was tied up at 2 all, heading into the 9th inning. Just as David Robertson was getting the keys to the office, the heavens opened and things came to a screeching halt. The game was suspended and would be started on Sunday before the regular game. Well, Mother Nature decided they boys would have more time off.
Monday would see the Friday night game completed, as David Robertson would shut down the Royals in the top of the 9th inning. The bottom of the 9th would see Melky Cabrera get on base with a walk, with Jose Abreu at bat a wild pitch would move Melky to 2nd, Abreu is given a free pass to first, bringing Avisail Garcia to the plate, Avi smacks a single to right, bringing Melky home for a 3 to 2 Sox win
Game two would see John Danks in the office with help from Jake Petricka, Zach Duke and David Robertson closing up things for another win,
*Top of the 3rd – would see KC open the scoring, taking the lead 1 – 0
*Top of the 4th – would see the Royals add 2 more runs taking a 3 – 0 lead.
*Bottom of the 6th – The Sox would fire up and put 5 runs on the board starting when, Adam Eaton opens with a single and Melky walks, with Abreu at the plate, a wild pitch moved Eaton to 3rd. Abreu reaches on an error, Eaton scores(sox – 1 , KC – 3) and Melky to 2nd. Adam LaRoche’s single gets Melky home(sox – 2 and KC – 3) with Abreu being held at 2nd. Avi’s single would load the pond. Conor Gillaspie comes to the plate, belting a line drive to right, getting LaRoche and Abreu home(sox – 4 and KC – 3). Tyler Flowers single to right would bring Avi home for a 5 to 3 Sox lead, which would be the final score.

Pack your travel bag, we are going home to welcome the Indians
Today was supposed to be a happy day for the Sox and the rest of baseball. April 15 everyone wears number 15 to honor Jackie Robinson and what he did for baseball.
What I woke up to was fair weather fans complaining about bad calls and a pitcher having a crappy day, on top of today being his birthday.
OK, first things first. I know we are having some struggles settling in and all. This is nothing new, especially when almost the whole team is new. Even I will agree there have been some stupid calls getting started. I have seen more NEGATIVE than positive supporting the boys.
I am really tired of all the negative crap about John Danks. Let’s remember one thing here, John is coming off a complete shoulder reconstruction. He is not going to bounce back right away like everyone thinks he should. I have faith in John that he will find his way. I have always been a pitchers girl and will continue to support John and the rest of the staff
David Robertson who is our closer has a foundation called “High Socks for Hope” is lending a hand to the victims of the recent tornadoes in Illinois.
